I've being holding back in posting any non-traditional work here, but this is a dream car Bugatti - type 51 and is very much art, which I've being working on my spare time, just got through the modeling. What do you think? Let's go for a ride!

It has being a while since an update.
I survived Brasil, after a case of pneumonia. All the glass on the fames were broken by United, and I had to fix some of my work. This caused my show to not go as planed, but that's life, and I'm well and alive, well rested and ready to do more art work :-)
Hold it there, still there have being a lot of updates.
The show still worked quite well on having two open shows, one on the beach of Ipanema, and one in front of the Brazilian Bank Downtown, later which was exhibiting all the impressionist works from the D'Orsay in France.
Even the TV came by, there's a picture too with a Helicopter in the background in Ipanema beach!
I also had a nice talk at Grupo Seven now acquired by Full Sail. An upcoming CG school in Brazil, with many eager students. I shared a bit of my 10 years in the industry as well as an interview, and we also talked about where the industry in Brazil is heading and how much it has grown in these last years.
I'll be posting a compilation of pictures of the event here at some point! Also I would like to let you guys know for those that still don't know, that I started a Facebook, check the link bellow! There are images of my art work, single ones once a week for the viewing pleasure of the ones who frequent it. You could even have some wine listen to some Chet Baker and relax at your museum, at your own home.

I wanted to have the 1st show be where it all started for me. Not many people know this but 13 years ago, before my career path set course in the US, I started sculpting and selling soap stone statues @ Copacabana Beach at 17 years old. This is an event to celebrate this full circle! To show 12 pieces of my latest personal works and my new 2 books!
Step Outside, 12 years of photography and,
my book of 12 years of Art Creation,
from traditional to CG in games, collaborative commercial and personal works.

More detail on time to come.
If you are in the US, sit tight the 2nd event will be here.
Thanks for your time,

Destino

This is inspired on Dali's and Walt Disney's duo in making the animation Destino and of Disney's french studio in finishing it, its truly a masterpiece. I really like all that was put into it and how 2D still charms over the CG of today. I kept wondering how would it be to make it in 3D, since it came out in 2003.

Water Colors

I always liked using water colors but I never got into it, but since my friend Shao Wei a great artist at work introduced me to her watercolors and the work of the great masters, such as Cotman, Girtin, Turner, Homer, Sargent's work here showing his masterpiece of Venice and many others. I got myself emerged in it as of lately.

Venice, Italy Watercolor Sketch
Had an opportunity to go to Venice, is truly an unique place. I've heard bad things about it, but I feel like Venice is for the ones who can let time pass by, getting lost on its maze, talk to your friend, like Rio is a very turisty place, but if you can step in and out of the turist places and get lost you can see the real place.

Here is the original watercolor and original colors, like Sargent and many others were mesmerized by the colors of this city, the water the earthtones of the houses, the atmosphere here is different.

MURAL ART in UCA Berkeley!
MURAL ART @ UCA BERKELEY!
Casa de Cultura
It has being 3 months since I've started working on my spare time on the weekends for a mural, to improve and give life to BRASIL CASA de CULTURA, (Brazilian culture house, where much happens there, from concerts to music to dancing to playing music and capoeira, covering cultures from south america to the north.)
It has being a very gratifying experience and lots of hard work, due to the sheer scale and specially due to the rough texture of the wall. I had the opportunity to coordinate 4 others hard working artists to make this vision come through. I've made numerous sketches and different color palletes of the illustration to be used for this mural that I hope to post them up here soon.
A lot of people have being asking to see a picture of it. So here is a glimpse of it. But if you would like please come by @ San Pablo and University in North Berkeley from a closer look and if you stop by on Saturdays or Sundays you may catch me there finishing it.
-Kjeld Pedersen / Requeijao ( a type of soft cheese, my capoeira name)
Sunnier day! About 50 buckets of mixed paint...
Early work, adding a figure playing the berimbau
Some early tests with projection in my garage, and card board masks but the area was too big for it. So we went with a grid.
Early sketch that didn't get used, the beginning of a game.
Cleaning it up. Splitting the planes and figures.
Used Sketch for Mestre Accordeon done at a coffee shop, the original is 10X larger!
More to come!
